Adolescents is a time of rich potential.  It is a time shaped by both nature and nurture. When one or more of these are problematic, both the adolescent and the family are affected.  This is often where professional support is needed most but hard to find. I am here to help.

Our responsibility to the adolescents in our community is a high calling.  I am here to advocate for both your child's emotional well-being and your family's emotional life.  Best outcomes include a combination of both individual and family therapy.  Parent's commitment to their own growth conveys a deep kindness to their teen.  I ask that families seek family therapy simultaneously to the individual work their adolescent engages in.

Adolescents process change and loss, grief and trauma in vastly different ways than adults given their unique developmental phase of life.  As such, their needs require a distinct, creative, and playful approach.  In my experience of over 13 years working with children, adolescents, and their families, developing missing resources leaves adolescents more empowered to cope with transitions, stressors, and loss.  This can result in healing within the emerging self identity of adolescence as well as in the relationships within their families.  I believe that the best interventions combine an understanding of both attachment (relational connection) and development (cognitive, emotional, intellectual, spiritual & social) modalities to support the full and resilient development of our youth.

Helping adolescents flourish is possible together.
