"I appreciated how this class was the perfect supplement to the work I've been doing with Abi in therapy...it gave the necessary space for my body to process and just be.  I learned that just as my mind needs space to breathe, so does my body."

"What I appreciate the most is being given the time and the tools to put all of the mental chatter aside and to focus on what's important...to tend to the part of me that needs to be looked after and cared for. I've learned that emotions and thoughts can become physically trapped, a repetitive process that we aren't always aware of.  There's a tremendous amount of relief felt after our sessions, even a sense of freedom.  This feels empowering in a very calming sort of way."

"I really appreciated the encouragement to move slowly and gently and to honor what the body wanted to do in terms of movement (or non-movement). Slowing down always sounds great in theory, but I find it difficult to actually do it. I tend to feel like I have to "force" myself to slow down. Which doesn't actually create a peaceful state. But working on the awareness of slowing down and being gentle with the body in class, something hit home. I felt a connection to my body that was kind and compassionate. Instead of aggressively trying to make my body do what I think I wanted it to do, I let my body communicate what it wanted to do. I felt this opened up a line of communication that felt simply good. It felt healthy and honest and safe. I woke up this morning and was still able to access that connection and have been practicing slowness and gentleness.  It's not second nature, but instead of rushing and forcing and feeling stressed, I feel more comfortable and grounded in my body.  Thanks for an awesome class, as always!"

"Breath By Breath with Abi Nix is much more than a yoga class, it is a warm, safe place in order for you to explore the depths of the spirit and body. The course is a personal, welcoming space, where you are allowed to connect your body, your mind, and your breath, all at your own pace. I have learned that I store anxiety, and depression in my body. Some of this has been there for a while, something I like to call “historical hurt.” Abi does an amazing job in cueing us through varying poses, postures, breathing techniques, and supportive meditations. While giving this immense gratitude and self care to my mind and my body, I truly am able to work with these historical experiences in new perspectives. And, most wonderful of all, I am even able to let some of those hurts go. If you have ever wondered about how a yoga practice could fit into your personal healing story, or would like to expand on the yoga knowledge you already do have, I wholeheartedly advocate to reach out to Abi and give this course a go."
